I imagine, that the weight distribution of the ship was designed in such a way that it would work, after all we can't see all the funky, flashy parts and lights and machineries that make that nifty piece of faith enforcing space ship work.
EDIT: besides all those nice little thruster in the upper half could just be there to enable better ship spinning, or did You see any other maneuver thrusters?  |

I already have a frigatte witth torps... it's faster, has greater range than any other existing torp boat and is nigh unhittable for any Battleship that won't use cruise or heavy missiles... |

Just a Minor setback ^^ besides, You'd need all drone range increasing skills to level 5 AND a drone link augmentor to be able to send those ugly little buggers after me... sentries excluded those are really nasty. -.-
Of course a Drone Boat like the Dominix will just have two DLAs. But I'm also confident that I'll neve ever have to fight a dominix in my single poor little manticore (I'd try to cloak up or flee the scene until back up arrives). ^-^ |

But tbh, thats what I like at these new ships, they are kinda the same.

Still expensive, I bought my Stealth Bomber for 14m isk (w/o equipment of course), and that's a Frig with Torpedoes, Bomb Launcher AND CovOps device. True enough, it's a victim to other frigs and drone boats but I don't see a BC With large guns doing particularly much damage to frigs either. ^^ |
